Dr Steven Lindsay is a GP, skin cancer doctor and he has a keen interest in the growing field of aesthetic medicine. Steven has completed the Certificate of Aesthetic Medicine and is offers initial consultation for planning your treatments, Anti wrinkle injections, as well as providing advice and administration of dermal fillers.

1. Advice

Advice on skin care products and tools for daily treatments at home. Depending on what you are looking for sometimes all you need is the right skin care products. We can provide advice and, if needed, prescriptions for appropriate products. For example treating skin pigmentation on the face (age spots) can often be as easy as using: high potency retinol, with moisturisers.

 

2. Anti Wrinkle Injections (Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers)

All injections will be administered by a doctor.

  These are done in a setting of the skin clinic in a safe well supported environment.

 

 The leading brand of anti-wrinkle injection is used at the clinic – please contact reception for more information. The injections typically last for 3 to 4 months. Regular use of anti-wrinkle injections can soften some more stubborn lines with time.

 

A comprehensive explanation and discussion will be undertaken prior to your procedure, to ensure the desired cosmetic result.

Photographs will be taken prior to any injections to allow ongoing review of how effective the injections have been. These will be stored securely attached to your file and will be used for no other purpose.

 

Following injection, results  develop over the course of 3 to 5 days on average (but can take up to 2 weeks before the full effect is seen). 

 

The aim is to create as natural a result as possible, and a follow up appointment is offered at 2 weeks where any top ups can be administered if needed (no minimum fee attached to this).

 The price guide below is referring to the average dosage needed.

Every individual is different and dosage may vary.

Costs are calculated based on consultation time and complexity rather than just on per unit cost.

This therefore does not disadvantage those who tend to need more units to achieve the desired result. It also becomes cheaper per unit when multiple areas are treated.

Steven encourages you to attend an initial planning appointment, where he will discuss:

• past medical history

• any medications your are on

• allergies

• previous surgeries

• Previous areas of botulinum toxins including dose

Please come prepared with as much as you can, and arrive 15 minutes before your first appointment as you will be asked to complete a new patient form and questionaire.
